FAQ’s About Our Tattoo Removal

Changing trends...

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Laser energy is directed at the tattooed area for a fraction of a second, passing harmlessly through the outer layer of the skin and targeting the tattoo ink directly. The laser disrupts the ink for tattoo removal, allowing your body to absorb it and break it down naturally.

How much does Tattoo Removal cost?
Tattoo removal is affordable. We offer a $50 consultation to evaluate your tattoo and at that time will give you a price quote and and a recommendation on how many treatments you will need.  There is a fee of $50 for the consultation which will be credited toward the first treatment for qualified candidates, if treatment is done within 30 days from the consultation. If you choose not to have laser treatment, the $50 will cover the cost of the consultation, and is not refundable. Our fees are a great value (approximately 100 per square inch of tattoo per session )and take credit cards for our clients‘ convenience.

Can a tattoo with lots of colors be removed?
Usually, but not always. We uses state-of-the-art lasers and the newest techniques. Some colors may require more tattoo removal treatments, but they can usually be removed. Some colors cannot be removed. Certain shades of purples, pinks, yellow, and white are examples of colors that may not be removable by our Laser Tattoo Removal.

Can I lighten my tattoo in order to cover it with another tattoo?
Yes. Tattoo artists refer many clients who request lightening their tattoos before cover up work is performed. This often allows for a greater choice in a new tattoo design, improving the final result.

Will my tattoo be gone after my first Laser Tattoo Removal treatment?
No. There are several different factors involved in determining how many treatments your particular tattoo will require, but between 5 and 15 treatments is average.

Why has nothing changed after a tattoo removal treatment?
This is completely normal. Some people may even see their tattoo get darker with their first treatment. Everyone responds at a different rate. The tattoo removal treatment is only effective with multiple visits…just be patient and follow the advice of our doctors to get the best results possible.

How often should I come in for Laser Tattoo Removal treatments?
Laser tattoo removal treatments are best performed every 6 to 8 weeks. This allows your body and immune system enough time to remove the pigment. The laser breaks up the pigment so the body’s immune system can take it away.

Can I buy just one Tattoo Removal treatment at a time?
Yes, you can buy just one treatment at a time. However, we offer discounts if you purchase multiple tattoo removal treatments at the same time.

How long does it take to heal?
The laser treated tattoo takes 7 to 10 days to heal much like a tattoo. The inked area will be slightly raised and the area around the tattoo will look reddish and feel warm, much like sunburn.

Will I have a scar after Laser Tattoo Removal?
Scarring is rare after laser tattoo removal, however, scarring is a possibility in any medical procedure involving the skin. If you are predisposed to keloids, or you scar easily, your chances may be higher. Compliance with our aftercare instructions will greatly reduce your chances of scarring.

Does the laser tattoo removal treatment hurt?
We use very powerful numbing cream  to make the treatment pain-free.  Without cream anesthesia, clients describe the feeling as a rubber band snap.

What should I do before my tattoo removal treatment?
Shave the area to be treated, if necessary. Avoid aspirin, Aleve, Motrin, or ibuprofen products.

What do I need to do after I am treated?
You may resume all activities soon after the laser tattoo removal treatment, provided you ensure the area is not rubbed or scratched. If you are in the sun, you should cover the treated area to prevent sunburn until the skin has healed.
